"You say goodbye, I say hello!"
SO as you may or not know, lush are saying goodbye to many products this year. One is my absolute favourite shower gel from the normal range which has absolutely broken me but a few of the products I'm happy to see the back of.
Now, a few of the products I absolutely love so I am devastated. Fizzbanger, Lava Lamp, Blackberry bath bomb, Comforter shower gel, Strawberry Feels Forever massage bar and Miranda soap are products I have enjoyed for many years and suggest stocking up on before they become super expensive on the Lush Kitchen. I am also very disappointed with Lush for getting rid of over 30 products to make room for only 16 new ones. Oral Pleasure toothy tabs were my go to before I discovered Boom! and the Miranda soap has been a popular soap choice in my family for years. Although Lush have got rid of products in the past (RIP Yoga Bomb, Sweetie Pie shower jelly and Space Girl), I can't help but think this is a little too extreme. I've never been a huge fan of the shower jellies that lush now have in their shops and I absolutely despise 93,000 miles but to not introduce any new ones to replace them; in my opinion will make the store feel a little less varied.
However, Lush do have new products releasing this Friday which I am super excited about, one of which will hopefully mend my broken heart from lack of The Comforter shower gel.

- The Big Sleep: a lavender infused jelly bomb.
- Dark Arts: A Harry Potter inspired jelly bomb; Lush's first black bath bomb with a pink jelly twist with a cinnamon and almond scent.
- Bunny Moon: Jelly face mask "When you want soft and strokable skin, this bunny is the one for you. Honey is antiseptic and moisturising, rose oil helps to soothe and balance while chamomile and marigold infusion calm the skin. A dash of gentle, cosy vanilla and benzoin resioid helps you feel comforted. You'll be a happy bunny with calm and clear skin."
- 1000 Millihelens: Jelly face mask "Get back the skin you myth'd with enzymic and brightening fresh apple juice and toning green tea. Witch hazel plays no tricks with its antibacterial and astringent gifts. Sicilian lemon and Brazilian orange oils help to brighten the skin while neroli oil gets to work at brightening the mood. If you fancy swanning around with firmer skin give this a try." (Since Lush uploaded this photo, the colour has since been changed to green.)
- Green coconut: A tropical beach jelly bomb with coconut and cinnamon infusions. I personally think this will smell like the Big Calm shower jelly but we'll see!
- Marmalade: A Paddington Bear inspired jelly bomb with orange and grapefruit scents. I hate the smell and taste of marmalade but I love Paddington and usually Lush citrus scents are gorgeous!
- Birth of Venus: Jelly face mask "When you want to feel born again, use this skin balancing masterpiece. Fresh sea water tones and refreshes skin, lavender oil calms and rose absolute soothes and balances. Carageenan seaweed gel is intensely softening and will leave skin irresistibly soft."
- Fomo: The fear of missing out Jelly face mask "There will be no fear of missing out on great skin with this little beauty. Gentle calamine powder calms and soothes while rose absolute balances for enviably clear skin. A touch of bright neroli evens skin tone and will have you feeling fine in no time."
- Just to Clarify: Jelly face mask "Let's get things cleared up: Enzymic papaya juice brightens. Bamboo stem exfoliates. Grapefruit and bergamot oils lift the mood. Fresh orange juice perks you up.
Since I've just listed all of the new Jelly ranges so far, here are a few notes:
To use, simply pinch off a piece of the mask and work to a paste between clean, dry hands. Apply to the face and let it work its magic for 5-10 minutes. Wash off with warm water or with a cloth.
All jelly bath bombs are priced at £4.95 whilst all jelly face masks are priced at £6.95.
I'll probably be buying bunny moon as it's best suited to my skin type.
- Rocket Science: A Bath bomb I am super excited for! There's lots of video's on social media of people testing out this gorgeous bath bomb after it was secretly released on the Lush Kitchen 2 weeks ago. Rumours of it being in the same scent family as one of my top 3 and previous favourite in store 'Space Girl' with gorgeous blackcurrant aromas and stars in the bath water much similar to my Christmas favourite 'Shoot for the Stars' with colours similar to 'Intergalactic'. My 3 favourites rolled into one, hopefully this will be my new favourite bath bomb of all time plus it looks absolutely awesome! £2.95
- New: Hot oil treatment "This spicy scalp and hair hot oil treatment gets right to the root of your desire. Jojoba and olive oils hydrate hair, add shine and improve tensile strength while refreshing nettle and rosemary absolutes bring balance to unhappy scalps. Bay, cinnamon leaf and clove bud essential oils warm and stimulate the scalp to increase blood flow and improve hair growth. When water is added, an infusion of freshly ground peppermint and nettle leaves is created which stimulates hair follicles and reduces the rate at which hair is lost. - Cheer Up Buttercup: Bath bomb. I'm going to be honest, I bought this at the same time as Yellow Submarine at the Oxford Street Lush and it's such a let down. Perfect for those who just enjoy a nice relaxing bath without too much going on but if you are like me and expect whizzing colours out of every orifice, this isn't the bath bomb for you. It's very beautiful scented with lemon, lime and neroli oils but just not the most dazzling (think Avobath). At just £2.95, you can't really complain for it being a little on the boring side but for the same price, I'd personally consider buying Rocket Science instead.
- Rump: Bottom rub, one of the most random lush products I've ever seen, I've seen breast rubs before from them which is very innovative but I'm still very intrigued nonetheless. "There’s a crack in everything, it’s how the light gets in. Ideal for cyclists, runners and all who experience resistance where there should be ease and harmony. Rub sparingly wherever there is friction or chaffing when your training comes up against a wall. With caffeine to firm the skin and rich butter to ease your entry into tight gear, this cream is a gold lift to a more comfortable life. The trump card to help Make Your Derrière Great Again! With toning aloe vera gel and cupuacu butter, I feel like this is also a good product for reducing stretch marks too! £14.95
- Damaged: Hot oil treatment, a previous hair treatment favourite among Lushies but reformulated for an even better experience for locks that need some love! "Whether you like to bring the heat, bust out the bleach, get funky with colours or are all about relaxers, give your hair a day off with this hot oil treatment. With extra virgin olive oil to increase tensile strength and almond and avocado oils to deeply moisturise, your hair will be ready for whatever you have planned for it next. Guar gum reduces static and vanilla absolute lightly perfumes locks for irresistibly touchable hair."
- Hair Doctor: Hot oil treatment, just what the doctor ordered! Probably the best hair treatment on the market and a favourite in the US for their original hair and scalp mask treatment, this reformulated version is best for irritated dry scalps with those who tend to get greasy hair quickly. "Give your scalp a clean bill of health with this reviving hair and scalp hot oil mask, packed with deep cleansing fuller’s earth, stimulating peppermint oil and anti-bacterial rosemary oil. Chamomile blue oil calms and soothes irritated scalps, red henna and lanolin give hair strength and shine. The triple act of jojoba, almond and extra virgin coconut oils ensure shine and softness. Just what the doctor ordered!"
Now I have shown you all the new products heading to a store near you this Friday 21st July (jelly bombs only currently heading to Newcastle, Cardiff, Manchester, Bristol and of course Oxford Street), here is a little more information on the hair treatments.
The new hair treatments including the reformulated ones are all priced at £6.50 and join Yuge and Tangled (who have survived the Lush killing list this year). The new treatment also include really cute little diagrams on the wooden sticks if you forget how to use them. The instructions are however to fill a mug with boiling water (leaving a little space at the top) and simply stir in your hot oil treatment until it has completely melted. Allow the treatment to cool for 20 minutes before applying to dry hair. Sit back and relax for 20 minutes before shampooing out. If you make too much you can keep them in the bathroom for a moisture top up as often as you need for up to 4 weeks. I am definitely going to be buying Marilyn!
The face jelly masks will be available in all Lush stores and will be replacing Love Lettuce face mask immediately. However you do still have about a month left for the other products! I will be visiting the Oxford Street store this Saturday so I will review the jelly bath bombs as soon as possible!
